Changes since version 2.3.0

New Features and Improvements

  • Different copies of a database can now be synchronized via the Tools > Database menu.
  • The Property Upload function now allows to add a small watermarking or branding text to all uploaded pictures.
  • The contents of any grid can now be exported to a CSV text file by selection Save As... from the grid's context menus. This function can be disabled by selecting the option Disable global print and 'Copy & Paste' functions for all grids in the user's group permissions.

Corrected Problems

  • An incorrect confirmation message was displayed when adding a new property record.
  • Fixed some layout and scaling issues of some reports.
  • Fixed a race condition that could cause the program to hang when opening a database.
  • Deleting a field in the report designer sometimes caused an error.
  • Conversion between square feet and square meters was incorrect.
  • When adding a new location/address record, the new record was sometimes not made current so that it could be edited directly (the user had to manually move to the record).

Other Changes

  • This versions introduces some minor changes to the database structure. When opening a database, the user is prompted to upgrade the database structure.
  • Several minor UI improvements and corrections.
  • Updated to Microsoft SQL Server CE 3.5 for local database files.
  • Minor performance improvements.
  • Reduced somewhat the size of pictures created and uploaded by the Property Upload function.
  • The restore function no longer can import backup files create with RealtyWare 1.x (version previous to 2.0).
  • The database connection details can now be edited from the log-in dialog. In previous versions it was not possible to edit the database connection details without logging-in first.
  • When naming a report or template, any invalid file name characters are removed from the name.
