Changes since version 2.0.2
New Features and Improvements
- A completely overhauled word processor with true WYSIWYG.
- A new mail merge wizard for mass-mailings (see Related Articles below).
- A spell checker has been added to the word processor and description editor. Supported langauges are English, German, Spanish, Italian, French, Norwegian, Swedish and Dutch.
- It is now possible to temporarily hide/remove a contact record from the current search results through the Contacts menu or by pressing Ctrl+U.
- Added Copy template function to duplicate an exsting word processor template.
- Templates and reports can now be saved (exported) and loaded (imported) to/from files. This makes is possible to easily transfer single templates and reports from one database to another.
- It is now possible to include or exclude specific contacts when filtering.
- Greatly enhanced "fuzzy" text searches (i.e. Quick Filter).
- Any property can now be duplicated via the Properties menu (see Related Articles below).
- It is now possible to sort the list of availables contacts/properties when selecting contacts/properties.
Corrected Problems
- It is no longer possible to leave the directory field in the database connection dialog empty if the option Store documents in file system has been selected.
- Phone numbers 2 to 4 were sometimes not shown on contact reports.
- Some toolbar elements had incorrect tooltips.
- Search profiles were sometimes not loaded/saved correctly.
- Corrected several problems when editing areas.
- Many minor UI corrections and improvements.
- The password field in the database connection dialog was not masked.
- Filter rules could not be saved under some conditions.
- Opening a document repeatly caused an unhandled exception error.
- An unhandled exception error message was displayed when trying to print or save a document and no default printer was installed.
Other Changes
- When double-clicking on a property in the Sales/Rentals lists, the property details are now displayed instead of adding/removing it to/from the selection.
- Added Latitude and Longitude fields to Locations/Addresses.
- Performance improvements when working with larger databases (> 10,000 contacts).
- Several minor improvements to startup speed.
- Contact Search Profiles and Owned Properties have been separated into their own sections.
- Added context menu to description editor.
- New Write main menu for word processor (Write Document) and mail merge wizard.
- The Customize menu has been moved to the main menu from the Tools menu.
- Additional checks to handle invalid database connection files.
- Setup application now checks license and displays a warning message if the license is not suitable for the version being installed.
- Greatly enhanced auto-update function.
- Any text entered into the database is now "trimmed" to remove any leading and traling spaces.
- The Storeys field can now be set to 0.
- A reminder is displayed every 7 days in the free Starter Edition.
- Added Purchase License main menu to free Starter Edition.
- Added Log Off function to main menu.
- A better warning message is displayed before restoring a database from a backup file.
- Improved filter funtion when selecting contacts/properties.
- Added rwgen.exe utility to create native .NET assemblies.
- Several improvements to the setup application.
- Added Properties to main menu.
- Many other minor corrections and improvements.
